超越實驗5 「VOLUME UP！」
於2022年12月10日到2023年1月8日，展開超越實驗5 「VOLUME UP！」特展，邀請12組國內外藝術家、以15件作品，突破媒材的界線，呈現臺灣動畫藝術創作的無限可能。
2022邁入第五屆「超越實驗影展」，由臺北數位藝術中心（DAC）藝術總監陳湘汶攜手金馬獎最佳動畫短片得主的藝術家張徐展以「Volume Up」為主題，集結12組年輕動畫藝術家/導演的作品，特別邀請來自日本的幸洋子（Yoko Yuki）、韓國動畫導演鄭多喜（Jeong Dahee）、新加坡動畫導演陳威強共襄盛舉，展出15件作品。期望透過超越實驗的混合跨域特性，將各類型的動畫創作者齊聚一堂，突破媒材的界線，自由自在地呈現內心的直覺和感受。
什麼是「超越實驗」？
這是一個以台灣「動畫藝術」創作者為主角的系列放映展演平台，從2014年開始，企圖在實驗動畫脈絡中與當代視覺藝術間扮演融合交錯的橋樑，提出各種正在發生的交匯現象，呈現「動畫」一詞在不同領域的創作者手上，如何混合各種媒介與影像語言，跳出傳統敘事框架，轉生出無限可能的未來樣貌，形成嶄新的藝術語彙。
Expanded Experimental Animation Festival 5: VOLUME UP!
About the Exhibition "Beyond the Experimental" is a series of screening and exhibition platforms centered on creators of "Animation Art" in Taiwan. Since its inception in 2014, it has aimed to serve as a bridge between experimental animation and contemporary visual arts. This 5th edition, themed "Volume Up," brings together 12 groups of young animation artists and directors from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.
The exhibition explores how the term "animation" is reinterpreted by creators across different fields. By blending various media and visual languages, these artists break away from traditional narrative frameworks to manifest the infinite possibilities of the medium's future. Leveraging the interdisciplinary nature of experimental practice, the exhibition showcases how creators transcend material boundaries to intuitively express their inner perceptions, forming a brand-new artistic vocabulary.
